Description of Emanuel Torres Work
The paper pieces are part of my sketch books, allowing intimacy between the line and the viewer. For this creations I part of the daily analysis of the politics and art history, which I continually question, all from a plastic formality.
This album contains pictures of the investigation, through painting, I made about the revolutionary utopia in Puerto Rico. Based on classic paintings, I have developed a series of representative characters, which I call the "revolucionarios de fantasía." The formal treatment is based on the submission of the painting to the draw line. The drawing is guide, in part, by an anti-posmodern deep spiritual reflection based on the current policy of Puerto Rico.
